For the above two reasons, these buttons need to be on each card. Therefore, the bkgrnd's of both Surfboard and Surf2 have scripts that create the buttons and fields necessary upon receiving the newCard message.
There are four check boxes (Member in Surfboard; Executive, Modem, & Business Use in Surf2) that show fields when checked. The scripts for these buttons is in a button in the background, which is hidden. In the newCard handler, in the background script, there is a command for each button (set script of button x to script of bkgnd button "XXXXX Script"). This puts the script of the bkgnd buttons into the card buttons. This could have been done by typing the script in the newCard handler, although it would be tougher.
